What the Team has to Say About Tracey: Tracey always has what’s best for her team in mind, which is so rare to find in an employer. She cultivates a environment for growth and encourages every team member to find their passion and put that in their work.
Tracey is the founder and president of Versatile Management Group (VMG), Prince Edward Island’s leading project and event management company. Over the past 11 years, she and her team have developed a proven track record in event and project management, as well as influencer marketing, food tourism, and social media management. VMG’s clients include ACOA, Tourism Cavendish Beach, Tourism Prince Edward Island, Food Island Partnership, PEI Liquor Control Commission, and Skills PEI.
Tracey is a creative leader with a ‘doer’ mindset. She thrives at taking projects from the ‘big idea’ stage to reality. As the former Director of Marketing for Tourism Charlottetown, she played an integral role in creating and developing some of the Island’s largest tourism demand-generating events. During her time with Tourism Charlottetown, she also successfully led the development of the city’s cruise ship industry and several destination marketing initiatives.
Always focused on bringing events and projects to the next level, the VMG team has helped grow and enhance several of PEI’s premier events, including the PEI Fall Flavours Festival, the PEI International Shellfish Festival, Jack Frost Winter Festival, the PEI Festival of Wines, and the PEI Spirits Festival. Tracey also spearheaded PEI’s first ‘community of interest’ (COI) initiative, developing and managing a pilot PEI Food Advocate project in partnership with the Fall Flavours and International Shellfish Festivals during 2018 to leverage the power of influencer and advocate marketing. Being on top of and responsive to the latest industry trends is one of VMG’s trademarks.
Tracey is the recipient of the 2016 Lieutenant Governor’s Award for Tourism and graduated from Mount Saint Vincent University with a Bachelor of Tourism & Hospitality Management (BTHM). In addition to running VMG, Tracey is also the co-owner Cavendish Bosom Buddies Cottages, a 24 unit, four-star cottage operation in PEI’s North Shore, which she operates with her husband, Kenny.
